The Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Foundation and the Agricultural History Project will again present HOLIDAY LIGHTS 2021 at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. Starting November 19, 2021 – Holiday Lights will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday in November and Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in December through Sunday December 26, 2021.

HOLIDAY LIGHTS is over a 1/2 mile drive through experience at the Fairgrounds of spectacular lighted Holiday displays all around you. Giant Christmas trees twinkling with lights – Santa – reindeer – snowmen – lighted tunnels and many more magical moments. Stay in your warm car and drive through this Holiday Experience.

The event is open on  Hours from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. We will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Evening to add to your Holiday Festivities. 

 

Purchase your reservation ticket early as tickets sold out early last year!

 

After your magical journey through the Lights we will once again have Holiday Food Stands available at the end of your drive-thru where you can purchase your favorites for the drive home. Each week different fair food vendors will be available for your enjoyment. You can stay in your car and they will come to you. Food is at the end of the Holiday Lights Drive.

NEW THIS YEAR WILL BE TWO EVENINGS OF WALK-THRU HOLIDAY LIGHTS on Friday December 3rd and Saturday December 4th IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HERITAGE HOLIDAY CRAFT AND GIFT FAIR.

Tickets will ONLY be available at the gate for these two evenings. Ticket gets you admission to Holiday Fair Shopping too!

Community groups are given an opportunity to create a lighted Display for the Holiday Season. These beautiful lighted displays can be found along throughout your drive through the grounds.

Open to all children ages 5 to 11

Drawings can be anything to do with the Holiday Season.  The winning drawing must be easy to duplicate in a metal framework with display lights that will be viewed after dark by visitors.  A simple design, like the sample shown, is best.
There will be one (1) drawing selected and duplicated by the Holiday Lights Committee at NO expense to the entrant and will be on display for the entire 2021 Holiday Lights event.  The student’s name and age will be on a special sign posted by the lit display.
During the 2021 Holiday Light walk-thru, the student and a parent or guardian will be available from 5:00 – 9:00pm on Friday, Dec 3 and Saturday, Dec 4 to meet the Holiday Lights walk-thru  visitors.
The parents or guardians of the selected student will sign an authorization release for TV and promotional purposes.
