Can you expect the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds to be there for the next Fair or your next special event? Or even a safe haven during the next disaster?
We’re working with everyone to make sure it is by Funding The Fairgrounds Future. The Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Foundation is the 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to ensuring a vibrant, healthy Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. Established in 2002, it has provided more than $2,500,000 to Fairgrounds projects.
The Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds is a unique venue for recreation, education, science, sports and charitable activities that enrich our community. Used by schools, companies, community groups, families and individuals year-round, the Fairgrounds also plays an important role as an evacuation center for people and animals in the event of a disaster, such as fire, earthquake and flooding.

“Most of the special moments in my life have taken place at the Fairgrounds – my first date was there, I had some of my birthday parties there, my wedding and reception were there, and recently my dad’s celebration of life.”
“I was so glad the Fairgrounds were ready for me when we had to evacuate our home during the fire.”
“Every year the Fair is like a big reunion where I see friends I haven’t seen since last year’s Fair.”
Whatever your memories, they are worth keeping – and so is the place where those memories were made. Your donation will preserve this Fairgrounds for many more memories just like yours.
