Volunteers Plant the Fairgrounds with Beautiful Flowers

45 Volunteers gathered at the Fairgrounds on Thursday July 25 to plant all the colorful flowers that makes our Fair so beautiful. Volunteers from Freedom and Watsonville Rotary, Scout Troop 505 and friends of the fair planted over 60 flats of color in a little over two hours. We would like to thank the Volunteers for their efforts as well as Cavanaugh Color for growing and donating the flowers for this year’s project. The project was co-ordinated by Kevin Larkin, Department Head – Floriculture Department for Fair.

The Fairgrounds Foundation had hot dogs and cold beverages for all the volunteers when planting was complete!

Thank You Volunteers and to Cavanaugh Color for the flowers!
