Watsonville, CA – Two new and two returning community members have agreed to lend their time and talents to the ongoing work of the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Foundation. Foundation Presidetn Jeannie Kegebein noted that the four all share the community’s love of the Fairgrounds and annual County Fair.
The four additions to the board are:
- Michele Bassi, Senior Vice President, Production Group Manager, Lighthouse Bank (Returning member)
- Michelle Navarro, Business Development Officer, AVP, Santa Cruz County Bank (New member)
- Sam Cooley, Nursery Supply Manager, Driscoll’s (New member)
- Julie Oliver, Co-Owner and CFO, C&N Tractors (Returning member)
Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Foundation was founded in 2002 to help maintain and develop new facilities on the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. Through the generosity of the community the organization has invested more than $2 million dollars in Fairgrounds upgrades. The Foundation funds an annual Heritage Hog Scholarship and has developed a Youth Leadership Program for high school students.
